Privacy policy.
This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website and in lessons, why, and what your rights are. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible for your data

What is collected and why
- Booking a free call: name, email, phone number (needed for WhatsApp or Viber), your goal, preferred language, where you want to talk and the chosen time. Used only to arrange and hold the call. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Lessons: your level, notes on progress, homework and messages. Used to teach you. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Payments: name, amount, date and the bank details shown on your transfer. Kept because tax law requires it (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Website: the hosting provider processes your IP address and technical data to deliver the site securely (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
Your data is never sold and never used for advertising. You only get newsletters if you ask for them separately.
Who else receives data
- Cloudflare (website hosting)
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers the booking form to Tanya's email
- Google (Gmail for email, Google Meet for video lessons, Google Fonts for the website fonts)
- WhatsApp / Meta and Viber / Rakuten Viber, only if you choose them for lessons or messages
- An accountant, only payment records, for the tax return
Some of these companies are based in the USA. Transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long data is kept
- Free call requests that do not become lessons: deleted after 6 months.
- Lesson notes and messages: up to 2 years after your last lesson.
- Payment records: for as long as tax law requires.
Lessons are not recorded
Lessons are never recorded unless you ask for it and agree in writing first.
Children
For students under 14, a parent or guardian books the lessons and gives the details.
Cookies and storage
The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. It only remembers your language choice (EN or BG) in your browser, which is needed for the site to work the way you asked.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to bgtodutchlessons@gmail.com; you get an answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live, for example the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
